Advocacy
Individuals in the Pursue community are involved in a range of organized efforts on social justice issues both locally and globally. In raising our collective voice to urge our government to change policies, we augment on-the-ground social justice work with change on a legislative level. Raising awareness in our communities and advocating for policy changes allow us to use our power and influence as citizens in a democracy to advance our country toward systemic change. Pursue is currently focusing its efforts on food justice.
Join Our Food Justice Campaign
From volunteer days at local CSAs to strategic advocacy around the Farm Bill, Pursue has focused on food justice work since our inception. For us, food justice refers to the overlapping movements for justice at all levels of our food system, from workers across the food chain fighting for a living wage to communities both at home and abroad struggling to combat hunger, food insecurity, and limited food access. Join us by checking out our resource sheet and food justice blog posts to learn more or by taking action with AJWS on the Reverse Hunger campaign.
