In Jewish tradition, the month of Elul is a time for reflection, repentance, and deep preparation for the High Holidays, a perfect opportunity to take on a practice to support the process of introspection and evaluation of your work, social justice activism, relationships, habits, and your spiritual progress. Mussar – the Jewish ethical tradition – is a daily practice that supports you through daily journal writing, group learning and accountability, and 13 middot (virtues) that help frame an ethical life.
