Audrey Sasson: Our Jewish Community Hero

by Pursue on October 6, 2011

Audrey Sasson, Pursue’s Senior Program Officer is our Jewish Community Hero. The Jewish Federations of North America’s Jewish Community Hero campaign is underway and we are championing Audrey.  Audrey is an inspiration in the Pursue office, but has also been a hero to hundreds of Jews in their 20′s and 30′s through her commitment to fighting for a more equitable global food system. With Pursue and its Jewish communal partners, Audrey has produced provocative and productive programming on hunger, food sovereignty and U.S. food aid policy. In her limited free time outside of Pursue, Audrey co-founded and now helps drive Community/Farmworker Alliance NYC (CFA), a group supporting the Coalition of Immokalee Workers (CIW) as they seek to advance farmworkers’ rights.

You can vote for Audrey every 12 hours. Make sure to vote, vote often, and tell your friends so that we can make Audrey Sasson 5772′s Jewish Community Hero!
